Unterrupted stay in the Russian Federation might not exceed 6 monthsOn January 10, 2003 Project of the Amendments To The Federal Law “About Entry To The Russian Federation And Exit From Russian Federation were signed by President Putin and they take effect on April 15, 2003.
According to the excerpt from Article 25-3 of this Project
A multiple entry visa gives a foreign citizen the right for multiple (more than 2 times) entry to the Russian Federation and
The term of unterrupted stay in the Russian Federation must not exceed 6 months during a year.
Those foreign citizens who have a multiple entry visa for a year will have to leave the Russian Federation at least once during the period for which the visa was issued.
Accordingly, registration of multiple visas in the Russian Federation will be done for 6 months only. A foreigner will have to renew registration after he/she enters the Russian Federation for the second time after the first 6 months spent in Russia.
